August 4th, "Autoresponders In Your World" Series, Part 20.

How to Use Autoresponders to Automate Your Internet Business.

The post-modern, industrial age saw individuals, corporations, and governments take a giant leap forward by automating various business processes. Nothing was left to chance as manual, mechanical and electrical/electronic work were analyzed, isolated into its component parts, then automated to astonishing effect.

Today’s Information Age has taken automation to a whole new level, thanks to computer technology and the Internet. The business rationale remains the same: eliminating or reducing time spent on menial tasks to focus on more revenue generators for your company and yourself. Alternatively, automation frees up time to pursue leisure activities. For Internet marketers, creating a business model that runs on autopilot is Nirvana, and with autoresponders, it may not as farfetched a pipedream as you think.

Autoresponders in concert with your favorite traffic generation methods can be used to promote both your latest and previous offers. You can use a ‘Thank You’ page to greet new list subscribers and introduce relevant products or services. If you feel such tactics are too aggressive, place sales messages into your autoresponder sequence that pre-sell on your behalf through repeated exposure. By the time you direct prospects to a salesletter, your information and sales arguments will have done the trick.

…and the beauty of it all is that you are doing something else when sales are made!

Assuming that your sales copy passes the test and prospects place an order, use a follow-up autoresponder to send out the customer receipt and product access details (N.B. if you sell digital products, provide download instructions.). A third autoresponder, a ‘Thank You’ autoresponder, should also be sent immediately to thank people for their patronage, and inform them about goods that compliment their recent purchase.

Although sales acquisition and order processing may appear complicated, your direct involvement ends once you have personally tested and verified each marketing campaign’s sales funnel. Write your customer care autoresponders once, and revenue will continue to come in as you develop other business projects.

…Or plan your next vacation.

That’s the essence of automated Internet Marketing – maximizing autoresponders to make your strategic business and income goals come true.
